Meet JaNiece and her family
JaNiece grew up in Houma, Louisiana, 30 miles out of New Orleans. She was the 6th child out of 7. She says that her father is the leading factor of her accomplishments and strength.
She is married to Joe (Giuseppe) Cefalu from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Joe is a police officer in Nacogdoches and a flight instructor for Golden Wings. The Cefalu's have 3 children, Hope Bailey, Joey (Guiseppe) Cefalu and Sara Cefalu.
Hope is JaNiece's daughter. Hope was A.N.T. Miss Louisiana in 1995 and also 4th runner up at the A.N.T. Miss America that same year. Hope was extremely active in high school basketball, softball, track, and rodeo. She had a 3.9 GPA and was deciding to sign with LSU, Harding or North Western Universities her Junior year. Hope went to live with our Lord and Savior that same year after an automobile accident.
Joey is a freshman at LSU Shreveport and is on the LSUS baseball team. Joey is also the lead guitarist in a Christian Rock Band called SPOKEN FOR. You can visit his bands website at www.myspace.com/spokenfor2009 or at www.spokenforband.org
Sara is Joe's daughter. Sara graduated from North Carolina State, Ashville 2010. She lives in Wilmington, North Caroline. She had studied abroad and is extremely fluent in Spanish.
JaNiece enjoys capturing a variety of image types, but her favorite is
sports photography.
She has competed in many different sports in her lifetime ranging from the normal school sports consisting of basketball, softball, swimming, track, rodeo, bodybuilding, and BMX racing.
Before she
won 2nd in the World Championship BMX racing in 2000, she won many
championship titles in Women's Bodybuilding in Louisiana.
JaNiece says that her favorite sport now is following her son's athletic
career and managing SPOKEN FOR band.
